last week me and a couple of my friends went on a mini shopping trip to get a couple of bits and bobs, i didn't buy a ridiculous amount of items, however i spent a lot more that i anticipated. most of the items i bought are from topshop however a couple of pieces are from elsewhere.
clothes:
primark
i only bought one thing from primark which is this basic long sleeve grey crop top, it was so cheap only being a pound so i thought it would be pretty stupid of me to pass the offer
i have been in desperate need for some basic tops in my wardrobe and I thought this would be perfect to go with skirts/high waisted trousers and would be good to layer up on colder days.
topshop
i went on a bit of a splurge in topshop and bought a couple of pricy items
the tartan trend will always have a place in my wardrobe and I thought that this piece would look perfect, the main pattern is red and blue and the sleeves create a contrast which i thought was a really nice touch, and made it a bit more interesting. it was around £26, which is a good price considering it is one of my go to items
i went back to basics again and bought another two basic tops, the first of the two is the plain white cropped tank, it was only £6 and is just a nice thing to have in my wardrobe
again, i thought it would be a good piece to layer up and would be good for on holiday, the only fault with this item is that the neck line is more square than i expected, but other than that it is a really nice fit.
the second top is this high neck black top
this one was £16 and will again be good to layer and wear with skirts, the high neck makes it different to the other couple of basics that i bought and makes outfits look a bit more formal
after my favourite pair of tartan trousers ripped, i thought it was about time i reinvested in a new pair of trousers
i was hoping to get a new pair of tartan trousers however all they had were leggings, this pair of trousers stood out to me because they have a unique pattern
they are in the same style as the american apparel disco pants however they are not as well dotted / as tight. it's always good to have a good pair of trousers in your wardrobe so £28 seemed a reasonable price
i went a bit crazy when buying this last item but i couldn't resist, i originally bought this beautiful metallic dress for a twist on my bambi costume (futuristic bambi maybe?) for a fancy dress party but i thought it would be an amazing statement piece and is just amazing to look at
it is a blend of metallic pinks and brown and shows up different colours in different light (in the picture it looks more pink) this is one of the priciest dresses that i have purchased since buying my prom dress last year as it cost me £75, it is definitely one of my favourite pieces however i did find a small fault in the sizing when trying it in as it comes smaller in the chest area, other than that it is perfect.
beauty / accessories:
i only bought a couple of bits before i go on a proper beauty shop
i was in a desperate need of a new eyebrow pencil so i bought a cheap pencil for the time being from miss sporty
the picture makes the colour look a lot darker than it actually is and it's in the shade 018. i actually found that this is one of the favourite products that I have used on my brows and the colour is perfect and the tip is neither too thick or thin and can be sharpened to the desired thickness
i ordered a big pack of eyelashes from japan off ebay to use everyday or when i go out, i don't know the name of them however i have previously used them before and was pleased with them the first time. when i ordered them the first time i was feeling a bit optimistic as they were only 99p and the quality was bound to be awful, however i discovered that they were good quality dispute the cheapness. the only problem is they do not come with glue therefore you have to buy that seperately
a couple of days after our shopping trip me and my friend visited roman road whilst we were out in london, while we were there i bought this pair of black cat eye sunglasses for £8
i have been after a pair for quite a while and these sunglasses are really good quality and fully polarised
the final item in this haul is a 12 pcs set of spiral stretchers that i ordered from eBay, i have been wanting to stretch my ears for i while now but i haven't yet received my parcel. when i receive the set i shall do a post on the product and the process
beth x
