The past couple of days haven't been too interesting as a lot of it has been holiday prep. If you read my previous entry I talked about a music concert that I participated in. It was an awfully long night as I spent a lot of the time waiting as I was second to last to preform. The anticipation defienetly got to me and I was having a
huge panic. My friend was there to help me and he did an awfully good job of calming me down. He was also performing and he went before me so I happily helped him the way I knew he would for me. He performed 'Merry Go Round of Life' from one of my favourite films Howls Moving Castle and one of my favourite composers Joe Hisaishi. He was absolutely insane and it sounded so beautiful when he played, although calming me down knowing he played so well when he was a nervous as me, I was a bit worried as I am a bit less experienced. Luckily when my turn came around he supported me the whole way through and I managed to make it the whole way through the song only missing one note.
I doubt he is reading this, but thank you so much for your support Alastair ^ - ^
This experience definetly gave me a bit more confidence when playing in front of people because I realised it wasn't as bad as I imagined it being. It also have to learn Merry Go Round of Life after hearing it in person.
Life Tip #2: If you are ever scared to do something that could give you an amazing experience and build on who you are, don't think about it and just do it. Count to three and throw yourself into the deep end. You only regret things that you do not do.
